This ailment that is heartburn is caused generally by consumption of certain foods and drinks. These foods and drinks such as late night large foods, spicy foods, sweets, desserts, liquor, wine, coffee, tea trigger serious indigestion leading to acid reflux.

Heartburn affects a large segment of the population. Only in the United States nearly 70 million people suffer from this unpleasant condition at least once a month.

Heartburn is actually more than an inconvenience. Heartburn affects your lifestyle and your ability to work. After a night lost of course you cannot work too well during the day.

Naturally, the question that arises is why stomach acid splash up into the esophagus. Anatomically speaking this acid is retained in your stomach by a muscular ring (LES) that in the individuals suffering from Heartburn does not work properly.

Several Ways to Stop Your Heartburn Fast

1. Chew Gum. When you chew gum, a flow of saliva get in your system and neutralize your heartburn.
2.Use an Antacid. If you fell a burning in your chest or your throat take an antacid such as Tums or Mylanta; it will neutralize your stomach acidity.

3. Drink Aloe Vera Juice. If you have, heartburn sips a little aloe vera juice. You will feel better instantly, because its ant inflammatory properties.
4. Take some Pepto Bismol or Prilosec. You can find them at any drug store.
5. Drink Slippery Elm Tea. This tea can alleviate this unpleasant sensation.
6. Take some honey. Honey is used for thousands of years in many diseases and it is well known for its beneficial qualities.
7. Eat one or two Bananas. This “leathery berry” can be a real help for those suffering from Heartburn.
8. Eat Rice Cookies or a Slice of Toast.
9. Consume several Hard Candies or take Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice
10. Eat Uncooked almonds or Eat Baked Potato.
11. Drink Chamomile, Salvia, Peppermint or Basil Tea.
